2. Overview
We only process personal data where this is necessary to provide this website, to handle your enquiries, or on the basis of your consent. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent), (b) (contract and pre-contractual measures), (c) (legal obligation) and (f) (legitimate interests). This website is transmitted in encrypted form via HTTPS (TLS).
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on Microsoft Azure. The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. A transfer to Microsoft Corporation in the USA cannot be ruled out; Microsoft is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses also apply.
When you visit the website, technical data is processed automatically: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, status code, referrer URL, and browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website, ensure its security and analyse errors (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest unless they are needed to investigate a specific security incident.
To prevent abuse, we limit the number of form submissions per IP address. For this purpose, the IP address is kept only in the server’s working memory for a maximum of 10 minutes. If we detect spam or abuse attempts, we record the IP address and time in the server log files.
We also store enquiries, interest registrations, orders and contractual declarations as records in a non-public storage of the same provider (Microsoft Azure Blob Storage).
Fonts and all other parts of this website are loaded from our own server. No third-party content (e.g. Google Fonts) is embedded.
4. No cookies, no tracking
This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or marketing services, and does not store any information on your device. That is why we do not need a cookie banner. Our forms are protected against spam without cookies, using a hidden check field, a signed form token and a time check.
5. Contact form, email and phone
When you contact us via the contact form, by email or by phone, we process your details (name, email address, optionally your phone number, the subject of your request and your message) to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry is aimed at concluding a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). You receive an automatic confirmation of receipt by email; it does not repeat your message.
Form enquiries are sent to us by email. For our mailbox we use Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) of Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited as a processor; regarding transfers to third countries, section 3 applies.
We delete your enquiry once it has been fully dealt with. If a contract is concluded or the correspondence is subject to statutory retention obligations (e.g. six years for business letters under Section 257 of the German Commercial Code, up to ten years under Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code), we store the data until these periods expire (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).
6. FutureHorizons Academy interest registration
If you register your interest in the Academy, we process your name, email address, your topic preferences and an optional message in order to inform you when the courses start. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, e.g. by email to info@futurehorizons.de. We delete your data after withdrawal, but no later than two years after your registration.
7. Online orders, withdrawal and cancellation
When you order services via www.futurehorizons.de/auftrag, we process your details (name, company if applicable, address, email, phone, bank details, selected services and your declarations) to conclude and perform the contract and to collect payment by SEPA direct debit (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). We only collect date of birth and nationality voluntarily for founding support, to prepare the notary appointment, and pass them on to the notary only in agreement with you.
We create the contract, SEPA mandate and, where applicable, the power of attorney as PDFs and send them to you by email. We keep contract and billing records for up to ten years as required by law (Section 257 HGB, Section 147 AO; Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR), and SEPA mandates for at least 14 months after the last direct debit.
Declarations made via the electronic withdrawal function or the cancellation button are processed to handle them and as evidence (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (c) GDPR); we confirm receipt by email.
8. WhatsApp
This website links to WhatsApp. Simply visiting our pages does not transfer any data to WhatsApp. Only when you click the link does WhatsApp open; the provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland (Meta group). If you message us via WhatsApp, WhatsApp and we process your phone number, your profile name and the content of your messages. A transfer to the USA is possible; Meta is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. 11. Recipients and disclosure
Within our company, your data is only accessible to those who need it to handle your request, and to the processors named above (hosting, email).
